Dusk 'Till Dawn

From dusk 'till dawn I wait for the moment
When dreams switch to life
A whole new world is open to me
But it's all just the reality
I wait for a sign of difference
But it all seems to make sense.

While the dogs all howl
And the bats roam
The chill breeze whistles
And the clubs smell of cologne
I lay here in the darkest hour
And in the darkness I cower.

The sun is gone, yet the shadows stay
In my bed, I lay in wait
The monsters beneath
All bear their teeth
And I stay here
Tear on my cheek.

Then the sun shines through
And I remember the truth
How dusk 'till dawn
Is when I sleep
And my dreams always get
The best of me.
